A gem by the sea. The staff is very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The double room was big enough and warm on a cool, windy, rainy winter day. Easy walking access to: the sea side walk, great restaurants, train station. We drove and found parking on Sea RD, the hotel can get you a permit for your stay when checking in. At breakfast the staff once again were super accommodating with a request for vegan/GF.
Stayed here before years ago,this was a brief visit for a wake.service and Drinks and Buffet kept topped up nicely, staff most helpful when I asked for an area to change my Grandsons nappy may I suggest a more practical table than the tiny half moon in the ladies(he's 2 and that would barely hold a newborn) small foldaway maybe? Highly recommended otherwise from previous experience.
In the very best way possible, this is an old-fashioned hotel by the sea doing things very well. Excellent service, meticulously clean rooms, solid breakfast. Additionally very good value at £69 a night for a well-appointed single room. Everything was very well run and organised, with lots of thoughtful touches. The staff were superb and there was a kipper for breakfast. Couldn't have been happier with my stay here.
A perfect hotel to stay! Our room and bathroom were absolutely spotless as were the restaurants, etc. All the staff were very friendly and very helpful. We took our dog with us and they made every effort to make sure she could accompany us for breakfast. When we visit again we shall hopefully be able to stay here.
I very much enjoyed my stay at the Northern hotel. Nice traditional family run establishment. Chris was very helpful. As soon as I walked in I felt a nice atmosphere and decided on a second night within 10 minutes. Nice room, lovely breakfast and all the staff very friendly and welcoming. It has an old world kind of charm, the atmosphere was calm and sedate as in a slower bygone era, however the food was excellent beautifully presented and service was superb. As I went as part of a large group I cannot comment on the range or the cost of the menu, we had a three course meal with coffee and mints that we had selected from a menu sent to us and cost £25 which included a service charge. I thought it was very good value. I would definitely go back again and try out the normal menu.
Very pleasant, reasonably priced hotel. Great breakfast and all very clean. Only one small criticism, some of the rooms are a little tired , but that will not stop me returning.
We stayed here recently for a one night stay with our puppy. I found the staff very friendly and accommodating nothing was a problem! Our room was very clean and bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was lovely and service amazing. We felt very relaxed. I would stay here again. Very impressed.
